There are people out there who are super excited by a Tweet that links to itself. In theory, its not humanly possible to do it, and hence the sudden interest and “hype” over it. It was so hyped that it got on the homepage of Digg making this world just that little more weird.

Australian SEO Rankings Dropped on Google
Ok, I haven’t blogged for awhile due to a busy lifestyle which is keeping me very far away from my website, as well as Twitter for thoes who follow me. Anyways, I was using www.seo-browser.com to check out how my website looks on a text browser, and to my surprise I fould hundreds of spamy links on the footer of my homepage. Atfirst I thought www.seo-browser.com was just broken as I would never add random links to spam websites. But it turns outI got hacked!

I have finally embraced Twitter – Follow me!
Ok, I never thought I’d say this but Twitter is actually pretty cool. At first I had no idea how I could use it and hence I decided to make it a private diary of what I do during the day. However when I started following people, I realised that it could actually be a very powerful social networking tool. Anyways, no point for me to rant about the greatness of Twitter since there are heaps of posts out there that does that already. So for thoes who has Twitter already, Follow me @sicnarftea, for thoes who don’t, join twitter and check it out, follow everyone you know and use…

Finally, my very own delicious bookmark page
Been awhile since my last blog entry, but this is mainly due to the fact that I’ve started using Twitter and many other social media sites, including the very sexy Delicious.com. Its also really cool how they have finally decided that the previous domain name was way too hard to remember. Regardless, you can check out all my bookmarks just incase you guys have nothing to do. This collection will obviously grow over time so you can check back later if you can’t find anything interesting yet.

I use twitter more than I blog now!
Ok, you know the world is changing when you stop blogging completely and start writing “twits” which can be anything as short as a few words in place of the blog you ditched. That is exactly what I have been doing, twitting on Twitter.

Shameless Self pimping on MyBlogLog (for SEO mainly)
Is it just me or is MyBlogLog becoming like a shameless self pimping / viral link building community where a bunch of internet marketers gather to generate as much link value to their MyBlogLog page as possible. Do not that your the link on MyBlogLog to your websites are followed hence all that juicey internal links you get within MyBlogLog flows straight to your website.

Great new way to make money online – TNX.net
Well, been surfing the net mindlessly as I always do and I came across an interesting website which allows webmasters to sell links. I know you’re thinking that you’ve been there done that, however this advertising network has a twist, it allows publishers to sell links on all pages of their website independently (which is completely different to sitewide links).

My blog is now worth $27,097.92 according to Technorati!
My blog is worth $27,097.92.How much is your blog worth? Not long ago, I made a blog post about my blog being worth a grand total of $3,951.78 USD, well now it has zoomed all the way up to $27,097.92 USD according to the cool widget made by Business Opportunity weblog which checks the number of inbound links from the almighty Technorati databases. Heck, I am finally closing in on $50,000 USD, gotta keep up the good work. By the way, for those who don’t know, this is completely fictionally and my blog is not really worth the advertised $27kUSD. Just to clarify things, my blog is not really of…

Comment spam dropping recently
Seems like there has been a significant decrease in comment spam after I upgraded my wordpress to the latest version (2.2 or something). Not that I am complaining, just wanted to know if anyone else has experienced a drop in comment spam.

Link building by being a guest blogger
More often than not, bloggers hit a mental brick wall which would hinder their creativity when producing new posts. Every blogger has experienced this at least once for many different personal and environmental reasons that forces them to stop blogging for a few days or even weeks. This is where a guest blogger comes in to save the day.

AuctionAds – A new way for bloggers to earn money
I came across a new ads publishing medium called AuctionAds which displays eBay auctions related to your content. Much like Google Adsense, you are paid for every click as well as a commission (though only if the user who clicked through to the auction wins the item).

I made it on the Top 100 Australian Bloggers index
Just got a ping from Meg from Blogpond that I made it to the top 100 Aussie bloggers, ranked current as number 99. Very amazing seeing that my site has only been in operation for approximately 1 month (or less). Great motivation for me to write more great SEO posts (if you can call it great) and post even more entertaining material for you guys to read. Other another note, now that my colleague should be back from training next week, I should have a lot more time to post so subscribe to my feeds to keep yourself up to date with SEO news and other great things.

People paying for blog posts uses Alexa as a ranking score
I have recently joined MyBlogLog as you can see from the neat little widget on my side bar to the right. Upon joining, I have discovered many bloggers which are making money via Adsense, CPM ads and the most popular method was via PayPerPost. Though I have never experienced this myself, as I generate most of my blogging income via CPM, Adsense and Intext ads, it seems that your blog will need to have a high alexa ranking in order to increase your PayPerPost earnings.

My blog is worth $3,951.78 according to Technorati
My blog is worth $3,951.78.How much is your blog worth? It turns out that my blog is worth a grand total of $3,951.78 US dollars (or is it Australian?) according to the number of technorati calculated incoming links and mentions of my blog. My previous weblog host LiveHouse.com.au is worth a nice sum of $57,018.54 (no where near what I got when I sold it) and my favourite SEO blog Seomoz.org is worth a crazy $2,397,036.84. Now, all I need to do is figure out how I can convert those numbers into real hard cold cash and buy myself a new car.

Google finally launches an their Australian blog
Seems like Google has finally started taking notice of Australia by starting their official blog based on Google news, product and industry announcements within Australia. I’d probably add Google’s aussie blog to my blogroll just to show some Google love. You can check out their first post or just head over to their blog which is currently very empty.

The powers of a united blogger’s network
I’ve been thinking recently of the possibility for a united blogger’s network of some sort. Basically a close knit network of bloggers whom specialises in the same field (or niche) and would comment on products and services within their niche. These different networks of bloggers will eventually have the power to control their specialised niche if they can come to a consensus of what they write.

Linking in a blog makes the blogosphere go round
There has been a common misunderstanding that linking some how affects your ranking negatively, as though you bleed page rank or something. This is of course wrong and many websites have been penalised when not enough out bound links have been established. However, it doesn’t seem to affect bloggers as much as linking is one of the high lights for a post.

Readers motivate bloggers to write more for readers
As the title says it, readers motivates bloggers to write more so that readers have more stuff to read. Its a never ending cycle in the blogosphere, that is unless one or the other suddenly changes. However if all things remain the same, bloggers will go into a never ending cycle of blogging about their life of things that they don’t really care about.
