Ok, you know the world is changing when you stop blogging completely and start writing “twits” which can be anything as short as a few words in place of the blog you ditched. That is exactly what I have been doing, twitting on Twitter.
Well its the the year 2008, 6th of January and already I have a new venture starting up. Yes, thats right, I have decided to start launching websites once again, and this year is prime time for me baby! I present to you Learning How, an article website dedicated to relatively educational topics.

My blog is worth $27,097.92.
How much is your blog worth?
Not long ago, I made a blog post about my blog being worth a grand total of $3,951.78 USD, well now it has zoomed all the way up to $27,097.92 USD according to the cool widget made by Business Opportunity weblog which checks the number of inbound links from the almighty Technorati databases.
Heck, I am finally closing in on $50,000 USD, gotta keep up the good work. By the way, for those who don’t know, this is completely fictionally and my blog is not really worth the advertised $27kUSD. Just to clarify things, my blog is not really of monetary value to anyone, mainly because the domain and the blog name is under my actually my name and its a complete ego boosting blog on things which doesn’t affect many Australians.
Anyway, just for fun head over to the “How much is your blog worth” widget and to check out how much your blog is worth.
Seems like there has been a significant decrease in comment spam after I upgraded my wordpress to the latest version (2.2 or something). Not that I am complaining, just wanted to know if anyone else has experienced a drop in comment spam. Read more »
Just wanted to say thanks to the people linking to me, actually means alot to me, even though I haven’t been posting much recently, its great to see that people actually still read my relatively senseless and sometimes boring posts. I will make more of an effort to post about SEO and related topics, after I close off some of my ventures =)
More often than not, bloggers hit a mental brick wall which would hinder their creativity when producing new posts. Every blogger has experienced this at least once for many different personal and environmental reasons that forces them to stop blogging for a few days or even weeks. This is where a guest blogger comes in to save the day. Read more »

I have recently joined MyBlogLog as you can see from the neat little widget on my side bar to the right. Upon joining, I have discovered many bloggers which are making money via Adsense, CPM ads and the most popular method was via PayPerPost. Though I have never experienced this myself, as I generate most of my blogging income via CPM, Adsense and Intext ads, it seems that your blog will need to have a high alexa ranking in order to increase your PayPerPost earnings. How much is your blog worth?
It turns out that my blog is worth a grand total of $3,951.78 US dollars (or is it Australian?) according to the number of technorati calculated incoming links and mentions of my blog. My previous weblog host LiveHouse.com.au is worth a nice sum of $57,018.54 (no where near what I got when I sold it) and my favourite SEO blog Seomoz.org is worth a crazy $2,397,036.84.
Now, all I need to do is figure out how I can convert those numbers into real hard cold cash and buy myself a new car.
As a search engine optimiser, I have always been interested in different types of lists which bloggers and authority figures conjure up. One recently list have caught my attention, and that is the infamous Top 100 Australian Bloggers list made by Meg. The aim of this list is to formulate the ultimate Australian Blogroll which ultimately provides Australian bloggers with the much needed attention it currently lacks. Read more »
Seems like Google has finally started taking notice of Australia by starting their official blog based on Google news, product and industry announcements within Australia. I’d probably add Google’s aussie blog to my blogroll just to show some Google love.
You can check out their first post or just head over to their blog which is currently very empty.
I’ve been thinking recently of the possibility for a united blogger’s network of some sort. Basically a close knit network of bloggers whom specialises in the same field (or niche) and would comment on products and services within their niche. These different networks of bloggers will eventually have the power to control their specialised niche if they can come to a consensus of what they write. Read more »
There has been a common misunderstanding that linking some how affects your ranking negatively, as though you bleed page rank or something. This is of course wrong and many websites have been penalised when not enough out bound links have been established. However, it doesn’t seem to affect bloggers as much as linking is one of the high lights for a post. Read more »
As the title says it, readers motivates bloggers to write more so that readers have more stuff to read. Its a never ending cycle in the blogosphere, that is unless one or the other suddenly changes. However if all things remain the same, bloggers will go into a never ending cycle of blogging about their life of things that they don’t really care about. Read more »
Recently, there has been many articles online and offline (on magazines such as Cosmo and Cleo - my fiance reads them) regarding people getting famous by blogging online. Of course fame and riches goes hand in hand in most cases and the people mentioned are most certainly a lot more well of than they were before they started blogging. Read more »
Over the many years of blogging starting all the way back in 1999 (yes, you guessed it - blogger.com) I have started and abandoded many blogs. Many of which are of decent quality with great & entertaining content. My most recent blog was at LiveHouse.com.au, an Australian blog host which I founded and funded. It was a personal blog of my daily encounters & contains many links and goodies. Unfortunately, I sold LiveHouse.com.au for a heathy profit and eventually lost interest in my blog. Read more »
